Instead traditional holiday carolers and bell-ringers, French Galeries Lafayette department store has decided to go with a rock ‘n’ roll Christmas theme this year. Posters for the holiday campaign were shot by photographer Jean-Paul Goude, and feature Iggy Pop (?) as a shirtless Santa, clad in black leather pants, holding a guitar powered by Christmas lights. The store will also feature live performances in the windows of their flagship store in Paris in November, and a Fender electric guitar workshop in December.
In other news, if there is any chance that I might be able to sit on Iggy’s lap this year and whisper into his ear about what I want for Christmas, I’m moving to France.
